Dropped something on my IBM Model M and my “? /” keycap broke.

Yeah it's a known problem, that particular key has always had a question mark over it regarding quality.

:o
What did you drop on it? A brick?
I’d normally hook you up with a spare keycap, but my current parts board is a Unicomp terminal board with the one piece keys in grey.

For nearly $9, that is ridiculous for one key.

Did that too, they charge $6+ for shipping. Not worth it.

Damn, really? That’s nutty.
Are you on Geekhack or Deskauthority?

Just buy an entire keyboard if you can find one that matches your variant (I know they made those forever) and keep it as a parts board. Or do like the guy in that auction and sell off the remaining parts to make tons of money.

These things are pretty damn expensive!

Sloppy ebaying though. The truth keys are out there

Here’s an entire board for $22.25
.
They turn up at thrift stores all the time. I could probably turn them into a gold mine on ebay.

I think there’s a classified section where you can find cheap stuff there, if not I can try to ask for you or something if you want.
